Welfare: General Info

At LTU we have dedicated councillors who can offer advice and guidance on welfare issues and student support matters.  We have a team of people divided into specific roles that reflect our student collective, and information can be found about the various officers on our website.

The Student Support Central Office (AG09) in Leeds Trinity & All Saints is always a good starting point for a question or a concern.  Judith and Janet will be happy to talk to you about the specialist services available within Student Support.

Judith Atkinson J.atkinson@leedstrinity.ac.uk

Janet Latham J.latham@leedstrinity.ac.uk

Outside the Central Office (AG09) there are leaflets on all the Student Support Services (counselling, careers, disability, health) and finance information/advice leaflets which you can take away.

The intranet is also a good place to find information and guidance on a range of topics.

Welfare: Health Care

Students living on or close to the campus can register via student health with the GP at the new croft surgery. The GP and the registered nurse hold regular surgeries at our campus Health Centre during term time.

To see the doctor you must have an appointment.  Make arrangements to see the nurse and she will refer you if she thinks it is necessary.

The campus nurse is Lisa Green you can contact her at l.green@leedstrinity.ac.uk and 0113 283 7262. She is based in the Health Centre which is just up the corridor from the canteen, and her drop-in sessions run 10.30am – 12.30pm.

As a student you may get help with NHS charges on the grounds of low income. Although this is means tested, you may qualify for some help. Apply by filling in a HC1 form, available from Student Support.
